I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Tom McCarthy's books, especially _C_. He has some interesting ideas on how information is affected and changed by its mode of dissemination -- its transmission. This is not my field of expertise, but I suspect that anyone who is seriously interested in this subject, someone for whom Marshall McLuhan's work, for instance, would be just one point of entry, would regard this work as just a dalliance. But it's a 20 minute read and it does shed some light on McCarthy's thinking as it pertains to his novels.Product details
